Frequently asked questions

Everything you want to know

Another question? or write to an advisor.

Is the service free?

Yes. Calculators, guides, comparison and advice cost you nothing. If you take out a contract, the insurance company pays the intermediary.

Where do your figures come from?

Average premiums come from the Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH). Deductible calculations apply the health insurance ordinance. For an exact premium we need your municipality, age, model and insurer: that is what we do in the comparison.

When are next year's premiums known?

The FOPH publishes approved premiums at the end of September. Insurers must then tell you your new premium by the end of October. You then have until 30 November to switch.

Will you call me?

No, unless you ask. You contact us yourself and we reply in writing.

Does the information on this site replace advice?

No. The guides give general information. Every situation is different: before cancelling a contract, have your case checked.

What do you do with my data?

It is used only to answer your request, in accordance with the Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP). It is never sold.
